Anxiety

Maria had been working on cruise ships for over six years. During her last contract, she began to experience constant anxiety, difficulty sleeping, and a feeling of emotional exhaustion that intensified especially during long voyages without port calls. She felt she had no right to feel bad because "it was part of the job."

Intervention offered

Through online psychological support sessions, we worked on anxiety management, sleep regulation, and establishing emotional boundaries within the work environment.

Self-care strategies adapted to life on board and brief techniques for times of high workload were also discussed.

Program development

Psychological support focused on anxiety management, prevention of emotional exhaustion, and development of self-care strategies adapted to life on board.
