Work-related stress

Javier worked on cargo ships with long rotations. The distance from his family and the pressure of responsibility began to cause symptoms of irritability, isolation, and demotivation.

He didn't identify with the idea of "going to a psychologist," but he recognized that something wasn't right.

Intervention offered

From a close-knit approach tailored to the maritime profile, we worked on managing work-related stress, emotional communication, and preventing psychological burnout.

The sessions were adjusted to their schedules and the connectivity available during navigation.

Program development

Intervention focused on managing work-related stress, emotional regulation, and preventing psychological burnout in contexts of high responsibility and prolonged isolation.

Results

“I didn't know how to describe what was happening to me, I just felt like I was always on edge. With Mara Tago, I've learned how to manage the stress of working at sea and feel balanced again, even during long voyages.”

Javier regained a sense of control over his emotional state and improved his relationship with the crew and his family environment.

He now uses the tools he has learned independently and values psychological support as another part of his job security.
